My wife is also from Eastern Europe originally and I know the problems the majority of her family is having right now being buried in debt and completely out of work. I have met numerous times with top executives of the Baltic divisions of the 2 largest Swedish banks in the area. So I can say with some authority that you are wrong about the lax lending standards, personal debt and the problems the banks are having.

I'm awaiting on the sources / links to where you got possesed with this demon, tell me also one specific role case of the family, that will be easier to illustrate it, won't it?
I don't care about someone out of work, there's plenty of work around here, people are just degenerated idiots that are not used to take responsibility or risk and only want to be mediocre and share the same looser problems with their peers.
That someone invested in "Investment funds" in eastern Europe sounds extremely scary!
