[Not this again, but..]What keeps rightowners from lawsuites against content thieves?

I mean seriously...
it's not only about porn, but also about other media, including established hollywood labels... sure it's impossible to fight that completely, but at least it should be limited to some small number sharing groups. What we see today is a fact that 99% of all media ever released are easy to find in a few minutes if you know as much as that one url.

i'm just wondering how well illegal giants like pornbb.org, thepiratebay.org, rapidshare.com (all they are different, but have tons of stolen content in common) are

from time to time we read news about closing illegal rights violation groups (like torrent trackers, warez portals) and some members even go to jail, but i can't remind any worldwide significant content stealing resource got in trouble.

hosting companies and registrars just don't follow any rules against copyrights violation or what?
