For any business it makes sense if you are running a business and don't trademark your property you will lose it, that happened to ddgirls.com Stephen Hicks didn't have the trademark and someone took his pay site that he had been running on that domain for years, he had to swap to digitaldesire.com, if he had trademarked it he wouldn't have had that problem.
