Hrm... My first show (2006) I was sharing rooms with a different person every night... Well on the last night, I think it was doot and matt from pimpinpays that graciously agreed to let me crash on their floor. We hung out most the night doing shots and getting ridiculously trashed, until I had to go puke in the pool bathroom... By the time I got out it seemed like security had cleared everyone off the pool deck, in fact that whole part of the hotel was empty and quiet (no idea how long I was in the bathroom).
I stumbled around the halls for probably another hour, knocking on random doors that had numbers I recognized, realizing that I probably wasn't going to find their room... All of a sudden I had done the full loop and was back at the pool deck entry. Those sun loungers looked pretty comfy, so I passed out on one of those...
After some time though I woke up shiverring uncontrollably, the desert air in March doesn't retain heat the way it does in the summer. I got the great plan to pull the pad off my lounge chair and lay it out next to the hot tub... stuck the lower half of my body in the hot tub and my head on the pad and fell asleep again. Woke up the next morning to Kates Playground asking what I was doing on the pool deck (think of the scene from the Little Mermaid).
Suffice to say since then I've always booked my own room at the Mission Palms.
