Well the basic idea behind parasite hosting is that with your own domains you get sandboxed if you start spamming a shitload of links and it takes a while. If you host your content on a site that isn't sandboxed and has authority (think youtube) it will get indexed very quickly and have the advantage of being on a trusted domain. That's why if you do a search for anything viagra related all the pages ranking are forum sigs, youtube profiles and that sort of thing.
I really just thought it was interesting that youtube was at the top of the list for nothing but porn related keywords.
