The fact is EVERYTHING can be dangerous and to tax it as such is fucking stupid. Who cares if someone wants to kill themselves with smoking. The same with drinking, I only mentioned that to get a reaction from all the drinkers.
Alcohol is just as deadly as smoking and to think it shouldn't be taxed because it is somehow different is also stupid. I have known more people who have died from the bottle or suffered some physical ailment than people from smoking. I have even known more people who were killed by drunk drivers than by cancer from second hand smoke.
Taxing is not the answer, for ANYTHING. It is just another get rich scheme by the boys on Capitol Hill. They should try doing their job for a change and make laws about where you can smoke rather than robbing from the smokers.
I also brought up alcohol because those who may hate smokers probably drink and it carries health and public dangers too. They would bitch too, just like you, if their poison was being infringed upon.
Kind of why I cried... Ohhhh, the hypocrisy in a later post.

I can hear your raspy little smoker voice laden with lung butter and wheezing getting hysterical about the topic and frankly I think it's hilarious. The lengths that you people will go to in defending your vice is limitless.
It IS a menace to the healthcare system and a menace to those around you. I don't smoke. Why is it that when you inconsiderate pricks walk next to me, however, I am forced to either hold my breath or smell and taste your smoke? You are the goddamned smoker, not me!
The "tax everyone or don't tax anyone" argument is old and tired. To deny that tobacco should be heavily taxed is ludicrous. Puff puff pay, bitch.
