I'm interested in becoming a big TGP, and I'm not so interested in a quick buck (but that's always nice, too). So, to force or not to force?
Understand that there are many opinions about this.
mine is, fuck the surfer! If you run your site to not piss of the surfer, you'll never make big money. (even the hun fucks the surfer a little) Your surfers are NOT surfing to make you happy. they aren't thinking"if I don't buy something from NineNine, he won't give me good galleries" so why should you think "if I piss off surfers they won't buy something"?
you need volume, not loyalty. Now I'll admit you have to find a balance but if you get the same people coming to your site everyday, that means one thing: they are getting what they want from you. you want them to not quite get enough from you so they ARE tempted to buy something.

IF YOU WORRY TOO MUCH ABOUT THE SURFER, YOU'LL NEVER GROW TO THE SIZE YOU SHOULD.
