Hey man, is this a NTFS parition, if so I have run into this problem on my uncles computer and it was an easy fix. Simply run a chkdsk /F on the partition you are having issues on. If you can't boot the computer that has the partition then download hirens boot disk and run the DOS environment and do it from there.

If you need any other help hit me up, if its a linux issue hit me up as well, im on aim most of the time.
