Clearly you don't have kids. I mean seriously. I couldn't imagine a fourteen year old without their own cell phone.
My daughter is eight years old. She has her own laptop with a web cam, her own Youtube account, and her own cell phone. She has access to dozens of websites from Chobots to Club Penguin. She can make a video directly from her laptop and upload it to her Youtube account so quickly it would make your head spin; I don't even know how she does it myself. I try to monitor everything she does, but it's difficult to keep up.
Anyone who thinks a fourteen year old has twenty-four hour a day adult supervision is kidding themselves. Think back to when you were in high school and all of the crap you did. I was knocking out LSD in eight grade; Freshmen year in high school we discovered that the dark room in the photography class was a great place to sneak a smoke. Did you always have an adult looking over you when you were in high school?
