I'm amazed at all the haters in here. Just crazy.
Something in our culture makes it impossible for people to be happy for someone else. Instead they hate people who get something they didn't get.
All the people saying "I have to pay why don't you"....if you were in the same situation, you'd get the same offer.
You don't get the offer unless you're broke...and you can't fake being broke with the IRS.
Hmmm lets see, would I rather be almost destitute and get my 100K tax bill forgiven, or would I rather have 150K and have to give 100K to the IRS?
It's like all the people who hate on the UAW. Most of the time, they're just pissed off that those guys make more money than they do, and get better benefits and retire earlier....so since those people are getting something you don't have, instead of thinking "good for them, maybe one day I'll get that too", you think "fuck those guys, take their shit away from them"
