Oh God.....this is the ENTERTAINMENT industry before it's the adult industry. And in entertainment, whether it's the circus, a music artist, or an adult star, you have to deliver the people something larger than life. Britney Spears sells BECAUSE she doesn't look like the average pimply faced teenage girl with an underdeveloped or pudgy body. We're selling a fantasy, an IDEA. With that said, you're still wrong because the backlash has created even more avenues to stray away from that and provide a niche for the 'average' girl. Some people get turned on more by something potentially attainable rather than the perfect 10 pornstar that they couldn't get within dick's length of in their life.
And as far as the real world scenario...some people like their car to look good and run good too. Why compromise?
