I just find it odd whenever an obvious industry long-timer states the reason he or she refrains from posting is because of all the "useless boring shit", yet having more intelligent posters here is the thing that has always been sorely lacking. In that light saying "I don't post because there's too many idiots here" is kind of a copout, no?

Yeah, that is fair.
Listen I don't think people are idiots, and I regret it if anyone feels I do. On the contrary, selling adult material, servicing those sales etc.etc. is genius. 5 -10 years from now when this is as common as Playboy, people will think the original folks in this space are uber-smart. Sex sells. Selling sex in any form is smart.
I will do my best to avaiod any cop-outs.
