See that is where you are wrong and where I stated the word gets thrown around to much. It has gained popular use in the last several years with very few knowing the definition or significance behind the term.
Memes are "cultural ideas, symbols or practices,
that gets transmitted from one mind to another through speech, gestures, rituals, or other imitable phenomena"
It DOES NOT define "any idea", it must go further than that.
