I've been on both sides of the coin.

As a webmaster I pretty much ignored any sales attempt from most affiliate reps. I know my traffic, I know which sponsors are out there and I'll contact them myself. What's even worse is when you're at a show and the affiliate reps of your main sponsor introduces you to other reps as a whale webmaster. Sucks when you're trying to play off your small with no traffic and then your own sponsor blows your cover. Then your bugged the whole show in person by competing reps.

Now that I'm with AFF, part of my job is to recruit new affiliates. I send emails and icq's daily. But I do keep track of who, what, where, when and how. Some people will just flat our ignore me, while others appreciate being contacted.

But being an 11 year vet of the industry I have a slight advantage over most though. I may send out tons of hello icq & emails, but once contact is made I'm not an ass hat, lol. Either you want to test out AFF and appreciate having a real vet managing your account, or you're not interested.
