Three people if I counted right have told you to put the drive in another (prolly older) system. Suggest you take that advice. Anything else is just alot of fucking around and wasting time at this point.
Assume you know how to network two PCs. Also assume you know hoow to install an IDE drive. If those assumptions aren't right, then getting some on site help makes a whole lot of sense.
An alternative is to take the whole thing to Geek Squad and pay. They'll prolly look at some of your data.
