So No you don't need to violate anyones privacy to get an accurate count. Only an idiot would believe that.
if anything the stats i am quoting you are an order of magnitude than anything you can define because your stats are based on sampling which have a default margin of error
and my stats are based on ACTUAL COUNTS.
