Good point regarding the difference between being historically/empirically right and politically/militarily right. The latter tends to create its own 'reality field.' Mao was right... power rolls out of the barrel of a gun. While it's nice to think that there are natural rights, they don't mean shit if you can't back it up with a court which is backed up by the state's power to coerce. Or alternatively in this case, military power to keep everyone's 'rights' balanced
