actually, you transposed werewolf and vampire...generally in the western tradition (with the exception of Irish myth) the unnatural are not fond of getting stuck with silver.
In the case of folkloric zombies from the Caribbean, they can be killed just like another human being, just one on PCP as they are under the control of a bokar (witch doctor) and feel neither pain nor fear. As far as the resurrected dead (be it through necromancy or some sort of virus) you are best off focusing on staving in the skull or full on decapitation (the Zombie Survival Guide recommends using the Monk's Spade, a polearm popularized by the Shaolin Temple around the 10th Century CE).
When it comes to zombies that are resultants of an infection that suborns their higher thought processes but leaves them basically alive just homicidal, you can generally follow the same instructions for eradication as that for the voodoo zombie.
Also, when in doubt, light them on fire=)
