Didn't it turn out to be a lie/scam?
It's kind of funny... I think that's happened a few times now. I don't recall any real legitimate donation threads where the person actually needed help... they've all been scams.
Actually I take that back... bjjb needed help, so I bought him a laptop... then he died. :-( RIP.
