i just find it interesting that as human beings, we have no issues steering a ship towards the rocks and at the same time being optimistic and hopeful that nothing will go wrong and that all will end well, when it so obviously won't.

Steering a ship towards the rocks? wtf man there are plenty of Muslim countries that are nothing like the extreme end of the spectrum that the attention seekers and trouble makers love use as examples to incite intolerance and hatred.
Becoming a Muslim country is not the end of the country nor is it the end of the world.
Check out some of the awesome christian countries that harbor and protect evil mega co-operations who are now responsible for exponentially more heartache and pain than any muslim has caused.
