He should have gone a little further and talk more about connecting with your mark. I listened to the interview twice and he hit alot of key points about marketing and sales in general... He should have clarified his comments about getting to know people before you make a pitch. In all of my years of sales experience, this was the most important skill I have ever learned... if you open up a little and are transparent, most of your clients will come to you looking for a pitch... they will ASK you for a pitch. It happens to me all of the time because they want to have a relationship with me. It's how I separate the cream from the milk to be metaphorical.
