Our repressive govt. hasn't gotten around to them yet (though I've seen a newstory or two about some towns harassing them and trying to shut them down)
As for the Tranny Gay question...
I know that gay friends of mine HATE trannies. And I've never really known a tranny very well, but my understanding is that they don't consider themselves to be gay at all.
I'm pretty sure that society here in the U.S. would consider it to be "gay" We're a little hungup on sexuality in case nobody noticed.
