Also do not get upset to find out your paying the company 40 bucks and they get you done in 10 minutes. They spend a lot on better tools such as wider mowers and such. Plus they usually will operate in well coordinated crews so that even a full acre job takes less then an hour even with tons of detail work.

Just a big tip. Do not always just go cheap. Many people will use illegals etc and that is one thing. Yet many more are operating their business on the sly and do not spend for things like proper disposal or worse yet insurance - so guess what when one of them or someone else gets hurt while they are working on your place. So knowing enough about workers compensation as well as the required insurance (tree cutting not included) if the price is not above 25.00 per service be suspicious, unless you know they have several other people on same block (not a few streets away cause that requires loading up and unloading) and you happen to have a tiny lot.
Good points. My mom pays $250 a month and they do the mowing and trimming. My mine would nt be a good example. For the condo 28 units we pay $1200 a month and they do a good job.
