"Freedom of speech" is often used as a catchall phrase that encompasses all such times when someone voices their opinion, in this case one that was ASKED for, and then is subsequently persecuted or otherwise penalized for said opinion.
Others have a right to disagree with her, certainly, but you're not the ones now being raked over the coals for your point of view. She is.
I don't necessarily agree with everything she had to say but I think she's got some decent sized balls to say want she said and now sticking to her guns in the face of this rather ridiculous shitstorm so many people and the media are wagering against her.
She's got a right to her opinion, people (starting with the idiot who asked the question in the first place) disagreed with her, isn't it time to get over it and move on?
