I've got two identities practically and as such two whole completely groups of friends. Never mix your mainstream work friends in, however. They get retarded sometimes. Mixing your hardcore friends in with mainstream -- as long as they have similar views on keeping it all on the down low -- has worked well. It's just like network security. A more trusted zone (e.g. porn friends) can go into a least trusted zone (e.g. non-porn friends), but not the other way.
