But I suppose they hired a monkey to write the script and didn't had much money for production, so as the result there was NOTHING funny!
Not even one single dialogue, in fact it was very surreal to watch a combination of extremely vague dialogues without any sense or point, terrible acting from starting actors / non actors or overweight actors behind their horizon, and very cheap production, mixed with all that background laughter.
I guess it never took off and they canceled the series after 12 episodes or so.

Totally forgot about Step By Step..that was horrid.
