what they do is they monitor the fraud on the accounts, if they are suspicious about transactions they contact the client so the client can fix it.

so in this case, some transactions may have been "suspicious" and they contacted the webmaster, who terminated the affiliate/crossells (even if they may be legitimate) in order to not risk their account being turned off

keep in mind that in this case, BOTH are clients of equal standing. it is not a program/affiliate situation.
