I see your point, and I think a measure of balance would be a reasonable middleground then. But, even when I was working in Sales and no longer heading up support at past companies, when a problem arose, I was in the DC with my hands on the issue. At any rate, building problems are like upstream provider issues - you just have to hold your dick and wait, which is super frustrating for hosts.
