Baddog, the trip from Barcelona to Andorra is ok, as you get near Andorra, about 10 Kilometres from the Spanish border, the road becomes a high mountain road all the way to Andorra, with mainly twisty roads ans spectacular views, full faced helmets are not required at all, open faced helmets are fine. Also weather should be perfect for bike riding Some of the roads in Andorra itself are nice to travel by bike, the snow has completely melted now, asphalt is normally in good condition, if I can get my bike working before you come, we can take a ride together, I will show you some nice spots. It you take a Bycicle you will need to be superfit, as the gradients on most Andorran roads are very steep, actually some mountain stages of the Tour de France and the Vuelta a Espaņa are done in Andorra, that can give you an idea of how some of the roads are here.
