I feel you man. Haters are always going to be around. Some boards worse than others. That is why a lot of them end up getting banned. Once you hatred goes from personal trolling, to trying to ruin someone's business, then you've crossed the line.
However for my experience, most people with the money to do business, especially the over $500.00 deals, are going to do them regardless. They look at the threads, or read the board and in my case, see it is always the same exact people trolling me.
They say as much when I am contacted, "So and so really has a hard on for you"... and then we get down to business. Most of the stuff I sell is higher dollar amount transactions. Whether it is content, or websites, whatever. So I already know it is out of some people's price ranges from the get go.
For me, again in my experience, I cater to roughly the top 15% of online who have the money to spend, and are looking for a solid investment. Knowing that coming in has helped me realize who I am marketing to.
That is not meant as in insult to anyone. However, I tailor my stuff accordingly for that higher end. That said, there are many others from photographers, and content sellers, or people selling their programs, and such that also cater to that higher end. So it is fierce competition for those dollars.
I completely agree with you man. I wish come of it would end myself. It is not one thing, it's another. There is no one thing. If it is not posting in the wrong section, it's bumping. If it's not bumping, it's my content sucks. If it is not my content sucks, it is celebrity content. Post screen shots of your sales, they are photo shopped. It is never ending, and you are never going to win.
Luckily most, not all, that are looking to do serious business can see it is the same people trolling my shit doing the same thing over and over again until they end up getting themselves banned. Busting balls is fine. Making your comment fine. But the endless bickering, trolling, and personal attacks is out of line. Nice to see GFY finally cracking down on a lot of it.
