@ DWB, there's exactly one problem here only: That some parents don't teach their kids about the internet's and IRL's dangers. They would rather accept new fascist laws, than actually make an effort and teach the kid to be careful.
In the situation we have now: parents experience almost no freedom from work or kids, so they don't mind giving the rest away to new laws, if it means another hour on the couch in front of the tv.
When the government is not quick enough to jump in with new laws, they start bitching in internet forums, and IRL about news paper stories about some predator...
Guess what?! paying your taxes and holding down a job, does not mean that the government should take care of the rest of your life. Pick up after you or teach your kid how to behave. The price for this will be too high, and beyond your intelligence to comprehend...
