Looks like I will be returning it today. :P The traffic reporting is WAY better than a Garmin I tried and the maps are very recent... which is a huge improvement over TomTom who's maps are typically old. I really like the Magellan... it works fast and the maps are very accurate... if you have a AAA membership they will extend your warranty an extra year. I didn't have one but I read the brochure in the box before I registered the device and joined. If you search for AAA coupons you can usually get a good deal... I got a year AAA membership for $19.95 + $10 activation. The only complaint I had about the Magellean is that when you turn off your car it pops up a little message saying that your battery is low and it should shut down... even when the battery is fully charged... but that isn't really a show stopper for me. It gives very accurate directions and doesn't take you the roundabout way that my wifes TomTom does.
