We pulled all that were left and it sat with no fish for a season. in 2007 my house was on the local symphony garden tour and my landscaper begged me to put something back in there. We got 50 young trout from a local place and tossed them in .. they eat like piranha..toss food in and the surface of the water just bubbles. Since the trout are like 50cents each we keep it somewhat stocked. They seem to be smarter and faster than the koi.. without the net there were still half of them there the first winter. I've got pictures on a camera somewhere of two eagles in a tree just a couple of weeks ago.
WOW! I hate to see the pretty Koi go. We have lake trout but have never tried to feed them. They just have fun with the bass and crapie (sp) in our 4 ponds and 1 lake.

Rob has been working on digging a Koi pond but he started that several years ago so I don't know if he will ever finish it. It's currently a big brown spot that can be seen by the most recent satellite photos.

Hugs,
