Because if they type it in wrong, it usually goes to a malicious url pop up city, the wrong site. I asked a friend about this, and have seen so many do that. That is what I was told and figured out. Its pretty easy to type something in wrong, I do it myself.
search engines will bring up the correct url, even if they spell it wrong in the google box.
and my answer is the correct answer.
