I live in Northern California and it's gotten bad here.
Americans tend to think of "fast food jobs" as being "beneath them", and thus all of the Hispanic kids work at all of the fast food restaurants. On one hand I feel uncomfortable when I'm in Burger King and I'm surrounded by people speaking Spanish, yet on the other hand it seems a brand new class of Americans are emerging that will have second class status.
It's funny because when I watch TV I see all white people. But when I go to the mall I'm seeing everything but white people - lots of Hispanic, Asians, and other dark skinned people. The demographics of the US is changing.
