I kept having a bunch of issues with Trillian locking up... losing conversations... etc, etc. I decided to try and update it to the latest version (Astra Beta) and none of my ICQ contacts had nicknames... grr. Just numbers.

I was looking through the Trillian support forum and saw mention of Digsby. I decided to try it and so far I really like it. It's free (when you install it it will ask you to install all kinds of crap but you can decline it all). It is already an improvement over Trillian because Trillian would never show all of the groups I created and whenever I closed a message window it would lock up my IM for 45-60 seconds (after my pro subscription ran out).

Aww... it has a widget you can put on your site and people can message you... who needs to spend lots of money on Live Support software now?
