She's just doing what her party's been doing for about 9 years now - lying.
Every time they've done it, suddenly the population is polarized on an issue because most don't even check what they're talking about. They take it on faith.
So Palin says Letterman joked about rape and abuse and a 14 year-old, but... nope, we heard the jokes and he didn't.
Does she retract or correct herself? Nope.
Do americans care? Nope.
