Just like you see on this board a lot of marketing is blowing smoke up people's ass. The gold shop gets a story in the news and the porn star gets a few bucks plus wide exposure to every WoW playing nerd on the planet among others. They are lifetime fans now so her stock in the industry just went up. :2cents
