When I say luddite - meaning I think in imperial terms...but yeah, like you I know my conversions.
Its just that I know to put a jacket on when its 40-50F ... but when its 12C I have to stop and do the math before deciding what to wear out the door.
Out in the garage I have a 5-gallon gas can for the lawn mower and snow blower. I haven't the foggiest clue (or really care) how many litres it holds.
