Personally I have to side with one of our country's founding father's and their statement that goes something along the lines of...
Those that are willing to give up freedom for security, deserve neither...
I know we need to bang some heads, don't get me wrong, I'm all for kicking some terrorist ass... However, my personal experience and opinion tell me that we can do it by other means than stripping the general population's personal freedoms...
This administration is taking the cheap/easy way out....
Why? Because you my friend, are not alone in your feelings, they know that the general American population is willing to give up their personal freedoms for security.
Thus my serious concern for the long-term freedom in general in this country.
If I am to live in a pinko-commy-facist country then I want that shit at rock bottom pricing! ;)
Our only hope is that the ACLU successfully fights and win's their battle in regards the Patriot Act...
If the general consensus of this country's population is now all for giving up their freedoms then I think it is less than worth dying for and I feel sadness for the thousands and thousands of veterans that died before for these freedoms that are now being shredded...
In my opinion I think this administration and this congress and their stripping of our freedoms is spitting on the graves of our previous vets that gave their lives for our country's previous freedoms...
SHAME on Bush, SHAME on this congress for passing the most UN-Patriotic act....
