I tried as you suggested and it still wasn't recognizing it...
When I first installed my minidv, I simply just plugged it in and XP found it. I'm not having the same luck though. I'll keep trying differrent things (like drop kicking it and/or spraying it with my hose).
Seriously though.... thanks for trying to help. I appreciate it.
