Wikepedia is a lot more accurate than getting your info from Google. The first ten pages of Google are usually full of BS. Most intelligent people don't use it as their primary source of information. Years of webmaster spam for keywords have brought it to this point.
Wikepedia only lets experts in their fields right articles. Many of them are written by college professors. It's not always %100 accurate but compared to most online sources you can take it to the bank.
