The people who think a conviction without proof in this case is a good thing are nuts.
It's like agreeing with a Satanist getting convicted for sacrificing an animal...even though there was no proof, no eyewitnesses and no animal carcass....but the judge was a member of PETA and we "know" that Satanists sacrifice animals, so he deserved to go to jail even though there wasn't "proof" in this particular case that he did it.
