See, that's my point. People say they hate the torrents then Gideon comes on here and defends the technology of the torrents. It's two separate things. The legality of the technology and the legality of what people are using it for.
There is no question that a majority of users are taking advantage of the torrents to gain access to copyrighted material they have no usage rights for. Sure, some TV shows may fall under the fair use example Gideon claims but for the most part, even TV shows fail his "4" test for fair use if a torrent is downloaded.
