As far as what I do, I like to read everything....the Huff, Media Matters, MSNBC, Fox, Alex Jones, Weekly Standard, and Reason Magazine to name a few. I think its good to get various opinions, do your research and formulate your own opinions.
I'm sure you haven't been here, so I'll help out with different opinions other than the donkey elephant show

We are talking, EXTREME right, EXTREME views of Fox... they attack, bash, hate anything that they don't 100% agree with. If it isn't Christian and isn't coming out of a republicans mouth, it's trash to them.
I don't see ANYTHING like that on MSNBC or pretty much any other news station, left or right. Heck our most left, non major news stations, don't touch Fox news.
