The pirate bay only offer that service after the courts ruled that privacy should take second place to convicting infringement. That ruling is currently being appealed, so until supreme court of that country rules offering anonymity is just standing up for what you believe.
As a person who lives in a country that respects privacy properly, i don't consider that stand unreasonable.

lol... you know that is bs.
Many ISPs do not allow using such services, but using it is still not a crime in most countries. My point is, if you motivate your customers doing something criminal through your website, then you know what the purpose of the service is.

Do you really think that argument will convince any court, if get caught uploading full Star Wars movies? Go ahead then, try it

once set it apply to all technology that is used in that way.

As I said, it is about the work. Each case is unique.
How you commit infringement is irrelevant. If it is fair use in one case, does not mean its fair in another.

My point of view is the same, punish only the person who actually commits the infringement
you don't want to shut down your opperations until there is a way to absolutely prove that no one is buying your content for the purpose of making kiddie porn (something that is clearly already established to be illegal) yet you want the pirate bay to shut down opperations until it can be absolute proven content is not pirated (even though the fair use issues that determine weather it is actually illegal have not been decided yet).
If your beliefs about extending responsiblity were the same i could at least say you were moral true, but with such a difference i would say that your morality is the one that is jepordy.

Why do you keep bringing up your stupid example with
potential abuse of content. That is NOT what I am talking about! I am talking about
crimes that are already comitted and you
know. If someone upload cp or infringements to your website, and you
know, ignore it, and make money off it - then you are clearly contributing to crime. It doesn't matter if it is 5, 20 or 90% -
it is still a crime.
