By "31st" the original poster clearly meant "last day of month be it 28, 29, 30 OR 31 depending on the month"

Assuming that the annual amount is the same under both schemes then the choice is whether you want 24 payments in the year or 26 smaller but slightly more frequent payments.

I would favor the 26 smaller payments because you see the money quicker UNLESS there is a receiving cost per payment which would make the 24 receiving costs cheaper than the 26.
