Gram passed at 5:40am this morning, they had just given her pain meds about 10 mins prior so she wasn't in any pain when she went.
Her daughter passed 6 years ago on the 3rd, we were all pretty sure Gram would do the same, but as my dad said "Mom beat beth by 6 hours to the holiday"
Her body was moved back here to town to the local funeral home, we met with them at 9am this morning, went over all the paperwork, Dad and I were pretty lost, (Gram had always taken care of stuff like this in the family) I bought a small urn to keep some of her ashes in, it will go up on the mantel here at the house.
We got a rough few days ahead, but at least Gram is at peace now

Thanks again for all the kind words and thoughts.
I'll leave this offer going till Monday, since now we have the funeral home and cremation fees to deal with (I'ts fucking insane what the charge to do pretty much nothing)
