There are two general ways in which your use of the content can be perceived: you're using the content to sell a membership to the sponsor's site, or you're using the content solely as a draw to your site. There's a gap between these two presumptions, though, as you can use the content more for one than the other. To which your use leans more toward will probably determine the sponsor's response.
For example, if you're using zip files of images to create galleries, that would be an acceptable use as you're displaying samples of the sponsor's content and providing the prospective member with sales text and referral links.
On the other hand, if you're allowing visitors to download those zip files directly, without any presentation on behalf of the sponsor, then this may be viewed as an unacceptable use.
Though, at the end of the day what really matters is whether or not you can send sales. If so, then your sponsor will probably be much more lenient in terms of the liberties they allow you take with their content.
