I read a ton of posts on GFY from people who are trying to SEO a site. Most of these people are completely and totally clueless. I am shocked at the amount of bad info out there surrounding pagerank and links especially. Unless you're making a decent living from SEO, chances are you're doing it wrong. Forget what you think you know and do some reading.

Oh, and please, if you're just regurgitating misinformation you gleaned from a "webmaster" forum, please don't give advice to anyone. Chances are you're completely wrong. If you're spewing misinformation intentionally then nevermind. Intentional misdirection is a great way to eliminate competition.
